Grocery ExpertGrocery Expert is a counting game for kids disguised as a shopping trip. Children drag fruits, vegetables, dairy, meat and bakery items into a grocery bag until the amount is exactly right — and in doing so, practise counting forward and backward the way preschool teachers do it: through play.
Each round asks for a specific amount. Add an apple — that's counting up. Took one too many? Take it out — counting down. This add-and-remove loop quietly teaches incrementing and decrementing, the two directions of counting that early maths is built on, while children just feel like they're filling a shopping bag.
Along the way, children learn to recognise everyday food objects and their categories — fruit, vegetables, dairy, bakery — and to evaluate "how many more do I need?" before every move. That small act of checking builds estimation and self-correction skills that carry straight into school maths.
Grocery Expert is built with detailed graphics, cheerful animations and sound effects, and supports multiple languages — so the same game teaches counting words across the languages your family speaks.
Pair it with 123 for Kids for numeral recognition, or step up to mental-math practice with Number Bonds.
